Outstanding project: Achtsamer 8. at Ö1 "Won Years"

Achtsamer 8. as one of the selected outstanding projects

The ACHTSAMER 8.  project was selected by Ö1 as one of twelve outstanding projects that encourage people to face the questions of old age and that help in an innovative way to shape the third age in a positive way. The project is an initiative by Josefstädter*innen for Josefstädter*innen. Solidarity, neighbourly help, mobility for old people and dementia patients, new images of old age and dementia are to be created. Furthermore, the possibility for all people to participate in social and cultural life should be strengthened.

In the final event of the Ö1 initiative "Won Years," twelve innovative approaches are presented that encourage people to face the issues of old age as early as possible. The spectrum ranges from health care to social participation through creativity, digitalization and education to new forms of housing and socio-economic projects that alleviate poverty in old age. A team of experts from various fields will comment on and honour these initiatives.
