Call: Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA-PF) at the University of Graz in the field of Interdisciplinary Aging and Care Research

Jumpstart your independent Research Career with the highly prestigious MSCA-PF fellowship in Graz

The University of Graz has been successfully hosting the MSCA-PF in collaboration with expert support from the Austrian National Contact Point (NCP).

CIRAC is currently seeking applications by interested and motivated researchers in the field of Aging and Care Studies.

We particularly welcome projects that relate to the research areas of the Center:

  • Cultural Representations of Age, Care, and the Life Course
  • Human-Technology Interaction
  • Ecologies of Care
  • Ethics and Politics
  • Health / Medical Humanities & Narrative Medicine

To apply submit:

- A Curriculum Vitae,
- Short research plan, highlighting how it links to the Center’s research, 
- And indicate the name of potential mentors at CIRAC

to cirac(at)uni-graz.at by 31 March 2022.

The University of Graz will support you with applying for a Postdoctoral Fellowship (PF) within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCAs) with:

  • Attending a 2-day intensive workshop (21-22 June 2022) on the application for MSCA – PFs,
  • Getting reimbursed up to 600 € for travel costs after submission of a PF application with the University of Graz as host,
  • Boosting your chances by getting to know your possibilities and your mentor in person (consultations, presenting and discussing proposals),
  • Receiving intensive support throughout your submission including a proposal check

Eligibility:

  • Approval of a mentor at CIRAC at the University of Graz,
  • Fulfillment of the eligibility criteria for a PF:

- You have not lived in Austria for over 12 months in the past 3 years prior to the deadline,

- You have successfully defended your PhD at the call deadline and you do not have more than 8 years of fulltime equivalent in research since the PhD (with few exceptions)

  • Attendance of the workshop and submission of a proposal with the University of Graz as host organization in the 2022 call (Deadline: 14 September 2022)
  • MSCA – Postdoctoral Fellowship entails:
    - 12 – 24 months, working contract with the host institution (University of Graz),
    - Extra funding for your mobility, family and training costs,
    - Scholarship with high reputation and visibility,
    - Additional support for max. 6 months, non-academic placement possible
