Inclusive caring communities
How can people with disabilities participate in the social environment?
Inclusive Caring Communities - How can people with disabilities participate in social spaces?
The Inclusive Caring Communities project dedicates its participatory, inclusive research process in two social spaces in Graz to two main questions: What is necessary for the inclusion of people with disabilities in the social space to succeed? Under what conditions can disability support organizations and people with disabilities be a key force in shaping inclusive caring communities? The project should not only provide answers to these questions, but also provide new, inclusive impulses for the social spaces being researched and for the local institutions, and contribute to a more diverse and condensed concept of caring communities.
Inclusive Caring Communities is being implemented as a cooperation between three research partners - queraum. kultur- und sozialforschung, Forschungsbüro Menschenrechte von LebensGroß and the University of Graz.
Project duration: April 2023 - December 2024
Funding: Competence Center Future Health Promotion
Project lead: Querraum
Project members at University of Graz: Klaus Wegleitner (PI), Anna-Christina Kainradl, Ulla Kriebernegg, Annette Sprung, Brigitte Kukovetz
