Research
The Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Aging and Care (CIRAC) critically investigates aging and the organization of care (care structures and care cultures) in our society. Studying critical and interdisciplinary issues of aging and care, the center has identified five core research areas:
- Cultural Representations of Age, Care, and the Life Course
- Human-Technology Interaction
- Ecologies of Care
- Ethics and Politics
- Health / Medical Humanities & Narrative Medicine
The members of CIRAC engage in the University's Field of Excellence "Dimensions of Europeanization" sowie im Research Network "Heterogeneity and Cohesion", especially in the Cluster "Aging, Demography & Care" which is being co-coordinated at CIRAC.
