CIRAC is an international networking platform for scholars in the field of interdisciplinary aging and care research. Our aim is to bring internationally renowned researchers to Graz and, together with them, to further develop innovative aging and care research and promote social change.

Prof. Dr. Anita Wohlmann
As an expert in narrative medicine, Anita Wohlmann, Associate Professor at SDU (University of Southern Denmark), will spend four months at CIRAC in the 2023/24 academic year working on the interdisciplinary combination of literature, medicine and art together with Ulla Kriebernegg, Alekszandra Rokvity, and Laura Sigmund as part of the Elisabeth List Fellowship In/visible Endometriosis: Menstruation, Menopause, and Narrative Medicine.
Prof. Dr. Helen Kohlen
We are delighted to welcome Helen Kohlen as our Incoming Senior Fellow as part of the Elisabeth-List Fellowship "Gender Matters: Age, Care, and Migration"!
As a professor of nursing science, she brings her expertise in health and social sciences with feminist approaches to care ethics in nursing and medicine, especially in the field of geriatrics and palliative care, to our center. She enriches the team with her research on intersectionality and care.
