Invitation to "Macht_Uni_Diskriminierung? Research and Practice in Dialog"

29 November 2021, 1 pm
Online

Racism at the university - it doesn't really exist, does it? How does the often ignored form of discrimination, classicism, work in the university context? Is age (es) or ageism at the university an issue and if so, in what form and why? What does intersectionality mean and what is the relevance of the concept for the university context?

These and similar questions form the framework of the event. In their inputs, experts take a critical look at structures and processes at the university and in a joint exchange it is discussed what we as university members need to know about bias, barriers, discrimination and exclusion and what options we have to achieve a fair to contribute to diversity-sensitive and inclusive togetherness. This does not ignore the responsibility the university bears in dismantling discriminatory, exclusive and power-maintaining mechanisms.
