People age in very different ways - among other things, the socio-economic background, educational experiences, health condition, gender or social integration are coordinators for the possibilities of a good and self-determined life in old age. After a short keynote speech on the diversity of aging with a focus on migration experiences, Annette Sprung will first explain the findings and perspectives of the “Caring Living Labs Graz” project - an initiative that aims to strengthen caring communities - in a dialogue with the moderator Elke Edlinger then discuss with the participants.
Annette Sprung is professor of migration and education at the Institute for Education and Educational Science at the University of Graz. She researches, among other things, on adult education and diversity as well as currently on intersectional aspects of migration and aging.
Anna-Christina Kainradl is a post-doctoral researcher at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Ageing and Care (CIRAC) at the University of Graz. She teaches medical ethics at the Medical University of Graz. Her research focuses on ethical aspects of age(ing) in the context of migration, health and care.
