Digital Stories of the "App-solute News" Project

The research project "App-solute News", which is taking place in cooperation with the Kleine Zeitung under the direction of Assoz.-Prof. Dr. Ulla Kriebernegg at the Karl-Franzens-University Graz and is funded by the Land Steiermark within the framework of the "Zukunftsfonds Steiermark" (Styrian Future Fund), can already show first exciting results. Since autumn 2020, several meetings have taken place that have enabled an exchange of experiences between intergenerational teams about the everyday activity of 'reading a newspaper'. These meetings and the resulting collaboration have given rise to Digital Stories, which can now be found on our website. Their interdisciplinary analysis as well as further collected data should help to better understand which narratives prevail in the intergenerational encounter during the transformation process from analogue to digital, but also which prejudices and fears exist in dealing with digital everyday technologies and which knowledge or which ideas, questions or problems are of importance for the intergenerational teams.
