Dr. Nina De Bettin Padolin, a postdoctoral researcher in American literary studies at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Aging and Care (CIRAC), has won the 2025 Fulbright Dissertation Prize.
This annual award recognizes outstanding dissertations with a thematic connection to the United States. In her dissertation, Staging the Planet: Indigenous Dramaturgies and Decolonial Aesthetics in Contemporary Performance, which was supervised by Prof. Nassim Balestrini and Prof. Klaus Rieser, Nina De Bettin Padolin examines the decolonial, ecological and aesthetic dimensions of contemporary indigenous theatre practices.
The award ceremony took place on October 3, 2025 at the University of Vienna.
