Places of Health Practice in Graz: On-Site Visit at "Gesundheitsdrehscheibe" Graz

Gesudnheits ©Anna-Christina Kainradl

Students of the Health Humanities Master’s Plus Module visit the "Gesundheitsdrehscheibe" for an on-site experience.

As part of the new Master’s Module Plus in Health Humanities, the course moved outside of the classroom and into “Gesundheitsdrehscheibe” for an on-site visit. Founded in 2023, Gesundheitsdrehscheibe is an initiative that aims to provide people living in Graz with access to information surrounding questions about health, navigating health care systems, and health promotion.

In an in-depth conversation with project leaders and team members, students had the opportunity to get insights into their diverse work and ask questions about the initiative. In this insightful exchange, students and team members of Gesundheitsdrehscheibe reflected on the potentials and challenges of their work as well as on what it means to work in a public health-oriented institution. The visit allowed students to deepen their knowledge and gain insights into how health is practiced in Graz and which organizations shape this practice.
