During another on-site visit in the ongoing series “Places of Health Practice in Graz” within the Master’s Plus Module in Health Humanities, students gained insights into perspectives on health shaped by the work carried out at the palliative care unit at Elisabethinen Hospital. In conversation with Desiree Amschl-Strablegg, head of the palliative care unit, both the conditions shaping palliative care in Graz and reflections on what constitutes a good life at the end of life were discussed. The visit offered students further valuable and realistic insights into how health, end-of-life care, and death are approached and practiced within in places of health practice in Graz.
