For a further edition of „Places of Health Practice in Graz”, students of the Master’s Plus Module in Health Humanities visited Karin Schuster at Radio Helsinki.

After a visit to Gesundheitsdrehscheibe and the AAL-Showroom of the Geriatric Health Centres of the City of Graz, students visited Karin Schuster at Radio Helsinki for a further edition of „Places of Health Practice in Graz“ as part of the Master’s Plus Module in Health Humanities to talk about health and radio. Providing an insight into the inner workings and wide range of opportunities at Radio Helsinki, Karin Schuster spoke about her radio show “Pflegestützpunkt.” “Pflegestützpunkt” is a monthly radio show which centers on visibility and providing a space to talk about health and care and fostering dialogue between healthcare professionals, policymakers, and care providers with the aim of making such topics more accessible. The visit allowed students to ask questions about how health is approached through the radio medium and learn about ways in which “Pflegestützpunkt” goes beyond radio and how it connects communities in Graz by bringing the topic of health closer to the public.
