Anita Wohlmann

University of Southern Denmark

“Narrative Medicine: Theory and Practice” (Lecture in English)

 

Anita Wohlmann is Associate Professor in Contemporary Anglophone Literature at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense, where she is a member of the Centre for Uses of Literature. She teaches on the English and American Studies programmes as well as in the Faculty of Health Sciences, where she coordinates the Narrative Medicine module. She is a founding member and coordinator of the German Network for Narrative Medicine. Anita Wohlmann’s research focuses on metaphors, illness narratives, age and ageing, and life writing. Her latest monograph is Metaphor in Illness Writing: Battle and Fight Reused (2022).
