Gender Matters: Aging, Care, and Migration

What does a gender- and intersectionality-sensitive perspective on age(s), care and migration mean for understanding the narratives of older migrant women?

Thinking about age(s), care and migration together, looking at them through the critical lens of gender and intersectionality research and relating them to each other is the goal of the project "Gender Matters: Aging, Care, and Migration" within the framework of the Elisabeth List Fellowship at the University of Graz. The resulting insights are taken up by the feminist-critical (care) ethicists and aging scholars Prof. Dr. Helen Kohlen, Prof. Dr. Ulla Kriebernegg, Mag. Anna-Christina Kainradl, MA, and Stefan Schweigler, MA (Graz) and applied to the understanding of narratives of age(n) of women (60+) with migration background and experiences.
