Project Kick Off: “In/Visible Endometriosis: Menstruation, Menopause, and Narrative Medicine”
On the 8th of November 2023, we marked the official beginning of the “In/Visible Endometriosis: Menstruation, Menopause, and Narrative Medicine” project with a kick-off event.
Prof. Dr. Anita Wohlmann (University of Southern Denmark) held an interactive workshop which offered participants a comprehensive introduction to narrative medicine. The workshop was followed by a panel discussion moderated by PhD researcher at CIRAC, Alekszandra Rokvity, titled “Endometriosis: Medicine, Activism and Art in Conversation.” The guests of the panel were Prof. Dr. Ulla Kriebernegg, Mag. Eva Anderhuber-Tutsch, Prof. Dr. Anita Wohlmann, and Dr. Med. Monika Wölfler.
The event was opened by Prof. Dr. Ulla Kriebernegg, director of CIRAC. The event marks the first in a line of an array of events that will be organized in the coming academic year as part of the project.
The project is funded by the Elisabeth List Fellowship Program.
